OF THE MOMENT – Photo Closing Exhibit

Join the Oak Park Area Arts Council and the Oak Park Art League for the closing exhibit of their “Of the Moment” Photography Contest. Enjoy free bites & wine while taking in the selected contest finalists. The exhibit will be your final chance to vote for the winners of three different categories. Be there when the winners are announced! A FREE event hosted at the Oak Park Art League’s Gallery on Friday, January 30th from 6pm till 7:30pm. Winners will be announced around 7. 

Special thanks to Juan Carlos at Print Innovation Lab for printing the selected finalists.

Stop by the main branch of the Oak Park Public Library between January 15th and January 29th for your chance to participate in voting. The Oak Park Area Arts Council and the Oak Park Art League invite you to submit to our "Of the Moment" photography contest!!! Please use this form for submission.

Contest Theme: "Of the Moment"

Photographers are welcome to interpret the theme as they desire. Photos selected as Finalists will be printed and displayed with their interpretation of the theme.

Eligible Individuals:

- Must be 18 or older

- Must live in Cook County

Submission Dates:

Photos may be submitted between December 1, 2025 and January 5, 2026.

Photo Requirements:

- Submitted photos must have been taken between December 1, 2025 and January 5, 2026.

- Submitted photos must be ready to be printed at 11x14 dimensions.

- Photos must be named LastName_FirstName_NameOfThePhoto

- Photos must be original pieces taken by the individual submitting. AI Art will not be accepted.

** Participants may only submit a total of 3 photos. Submitted Photos that do not meet requirements will be considered ineligible and removed from the contest.**

Selected Finalists:

A panel of Jurors will select 25-30 photos as Finalists. The photos selected to be finalists will be printed and displayed at the main branch of the Oak Park Public Library for two weeks. While the finalists are on display at the library, the general public will be invited to go see the photos and vote for their favorites. All photos, regardless if they are selected as a Finalists or not, will be displayed in an online gallery.

Categories & Prizes:

- People's Choice - $125

- Favorite Black & White - $125

- Most Interesting Subject - $125

Closing Exhibit:

A closing exhibit will be held at the Oak Park Art League on Friday, January 30 from 6pm - 7:30pm. Voting will close at 7pm on the 30th, with the winners announced shortly afterwards.
